WBB Appoints Rich Harkey as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

RESTON, VA - January 18, 2018 – Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. (“WBB” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital (“H.I.G.”), is pleased to announce that Richard B. Harkey (“Rich”) has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Rich will be responsible for leading the continued development and performance of the finance, contracts, facilities, and the information technology functions of the Company. 

“Rich is a great addition to the already incredible team we have in place,” said Robert Olsen, Chief Executive Officer of WBB. “Rich is a proven leader with in-depth experience in mergers and acquisitions, treasury, regulatory compliance, tax, and financial reporting. Rich has a successful track record overseeing acquisition evaluation and integration of business operations and will immediately contribute to WBB as we continue on our growth trajectory.”

Before joining WBB, Rich served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller (Principal Accounting Officer) at Engility Holdings, (NYSE: EGL), a provider of integrated solutions and government services trading on the NASDAQ. Prior to Engility, Rich held senior leadership roles at Sotera Defense Solutions and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Rich is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from Miami University of Dayton, Ohio and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
