Satish Gattadahalli is an industry thought leader on issues pertaining to Health IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Health Informatics, Information Strategy, Enterprise Data Warehousing/Big Data, IT Governance, and Business Transformation. Since 1999, he has been advising the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) ---the largest integrated health care system in the U.S. with a budget of $53 billion--- on these strategic imperatives. He currently serves as the principal advisor/trusted consultant and SME to VHA’s Connected Health Program. Mr. Gattadahalli’s 25 years of IT and IT management experience span public sector, government, and health care domains in formulating and implementing enterprise architecture (EA), informatics, and data warehousing/information analytics strategies. He has been shaping, directing, advising, developing, and institutionalizing enterprise architecture, business architecture, Health IT Strategy/Strategic Planning, Health Informatics, and IT governance strategies for VHA and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Gattadahalli is an active contributor to HL7, Health Care Data Warehousing Association (HDWA), VA-DoD Informatics and Architecture Activities (HAIG/HARB, BPG), Industry Advisory Council/EA-SIG, and Federal Health Architecture (FHA) Initiatives. He has written papers, and has spoken prolifically at industry conferences such as e-gov, HDWA, VA’s ITC and Tech-talk. His paper on enterprise architecture was published internationally as an excerpt in a book on agile enterprise.
